There's a little Bee who bumbled his way off track and didn't know how to get back. he buzzed here and buzzed there oh how tired, hot and dry on the trail that day the sun just a blazing down the dust all within his little fluff. In the distance was a Cowboy 'Ridin on' his bandana covered his face so he could deal more easily with the dusty trail we both found ourselves on.
Oh my! what will I do ill fry out here! .... Hey wait a minute! If I could just Buzz my way to the Cowboy... gee whiz! I just don't know he's riding pretty fast, but if I could grab onto the horses mane and catch a 'HITCH' BOY oh BOY! that would my ticket that'd be great! I bumble bee buzzed and thought, well I have 2 choices I catch up or I'm done for and left on this lonely hot dry trail to ....oh no my no.... I just have to catch up and that that!
Well here I go and bumble bee took off with all he had, I'll catch up I am no Quitter! as he buzzed he dropped up and down and then it wasn't long that his smooth buzzing just within reach to the horses mane dimmed to a slow flutter and could take no more he tumbled down bumping, rolling and far to tired to grab on just missing that horses mane but he fell right inside the Cowboys saddlebag and there the little Bumble Bee lay inside at the bottom of the hot leather saddlebag. Then all of a sudden it opened he looked up and the Cowboy had seen him ..GULP! he thought oh oh! im done for!
That Ol' Cowboy took his Canteen jumped off his horse put water in the palms of his hands gave his horse a drink jumped back up on his saddle leaning over the saddlebag he took a big swig of water for himself dripping all down off his face into saddlebag and WOW! it was like it had rained in there, well I stood under that water running around in circles trying to get as much as I could in my mouth so finally I could swallow. OH HOW REFRESHED THE THREE OF US FELT.
So I climbed to the top of the bag and thought 'this is my stop' I am all rested washed and still here. Well I guess I should be on my way.
I looked beyond the trail at the wheat blowing in the field the bails of hay, cattle roaming around and a nice new pick-up. the dogs running around and of course the Cowboys wife who stood there in all her beauty looking as pretty as an angel and all so happy to see us.. well them, this old cabin just at the end of the trail with a rocking chair that sat on that ol deck it's the Cowboys shack. This is home. we're home!
Just as I was about to flutter away I looked over at the Cowboy and he was looking right down at me I did a big ol GULP! OH OH! well that ol Cowboy chuckled and with a grin said 'look at that, that ol Bumble Bee made it through with me, I'll just set him free and well to this day I live above that ol rocking chair happy as can be.
Many days have passed since that long day on the dusty trail, now spending my days with the Cowboy and his horse who saved me. A whole lot has changed since way back when, we don't ride the dusty trails much anymore. The Cowboys far too busy as he went into a new found profession and has the biggest honey farm in the County. The Cowboy and his wife worked hard to enjoy this beauty and Bliss.
Im old now but the others make it a beautiful site to see what a wonderful gift came from our meeting that day.
